WATERCOLOUR
Class Full, waiting list applies
This workshop will be held amongst some of New Zealand’s most spectacular scenery. We will take the opportunity to paint these views in the studio and partly outdoors. We will concentrate on how to achieve that beautiful glow of light and colour that is unique to watercolour. Jacky will help you develop both wet on wet, wet on dry washes and glazing techniques. We will also cover brush strokes and edges, composition and aspects of perspective.
We will cover a range of subjects including, mountains, water, reflections, boats, skies and figures. The mornings will be a mixture of step-by-step demonstration and exercises. In the afternoon we will put it into practice and complete a painting with plenty of individual attention.
The course will suit any level. Students need to bring their own painting gear with plenty of tube paint. Teaching sheets, 3D teaching models, handouts and photo references will be provided.
Jacky is an experienced watercolour tutor teaching workshops around the world (currently via Zoom!) and in New Zealand.
