Fly Fishing – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
In this course which may (but not necessarily) follow on from the flying tying, the theory will be put into practice.
Participants will cover a selection of tackle, trout behaviour, trout food, selection of flies and how to fish for them in the various waters of New Zealand.
As well as a few lessons at the college, most of the time will be spent putting theory into practice in some of the finest trout fishing areas in the country.
Please note: a fishing licence is a pre-requisite for the course.
Mike is a noted fly fishing expert; he has been flying fishing for over 50 years and has been a teacher of the art for more than 40 years. For many years he has been the angling correspondent for the Otago Daily Times. He has published books on the topic and is a respected member of the angling community.
